The jewelry is hand made by Sherri Ogden in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sherri holds a Bachelor of Home Economics degree from Mount St. Vincent University and has a strong design background including fashion design, photography and jewelry. Sherri grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia and spent most of her summers in Rosebay and Lunenburg. Her love of the nautical theme is evident in most of her jewelry and her passion for the beauty of the landscape and ocean that surrounds the province is shown through her artistry. Sherri strives to deliver quality products at an affordable price point. All of the products are packaged on cardstock with a plastic sleeve which present well for gift giving.
Her products can be found in over 30 stores across Canada and the United States. In May 2008, a line of blue and white jewelry specifically designed for Cystic Fibrosis was launched nationally and posted on their website. A portion of sales from each CF item is donated to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis foundation to help find a cure. As well, a line of pink jewelry has been designed for Breast Cancer Action Nova Scotia and is available through their website. A portion of sales is donated to BCANS which helps educate the public about breast health, acts as a resource centre and provides support services for women with breast cancer. Sherri works with many non-profit organizations which use her jewelry as fundraisers for events and charity.
The jewelry is made from sea glass, coloured glass, mother of pearl shells, sea shells, crystals and glass pearls. The earrings are silver or gold plated and hypo allergenic. The jewelry is nickel free. For more information you can contact Sherri by clicking here
